Articles on: Working with OpnForm

How do I use my own domain?

Custom domains are only available to Pro users. You can have one per workspace.

To use your domain, you need to accomplish three things.

Step 1: Make sure you configure your CNAME in your domain settings.

Step 2: In your Opnform account, update your workspace settings.

Step 3: Link your domain to your form configuration.

Please check Setting up a CNAME DNS for more details.

Step 1: configure your CNAME in your domain settings.

Using your own domain with OpnForm is easy, but you do need to know about DNS to set it up. Here is what to do:

Create a CNAME DNS record pointing from your.domain.com to domains.opnform.com.
Replace your.domain.com with the domain or subdomain of your choice.

The CNAME target domains.opnform.com however, will never change, regardless of the custom domain you're using.

Step 2: In your Opnform account, update your workspace settings*

Once you have created the CNAME record, log into OpnForm and open your Workspace Settings.

Enter your custom domain (1 per line) and click "save".

Visiting your domain won't show anything yet, you need to configure your forms!

Now, to assign your domain to a form, open the form editor for one of your form.

Go to the Link SEO settings section, and select the domain you just added. This is located in the bottom left side f the screen.

Save the form, and if you now visit the Share page for this form you will see that the URL changed to use your own domain.

Don't worry, previous OpnForm URLs will still be working.
