How to Use the Auto-Save Form Progress Feature in OpnForm?

Want to let respondents continue filling out a form even after closing it? With OpnForm’s auto-save feature, partially completed responses are automatically saved so users can pick up where they left off — without losing any progress.

This feature is enabled by default for all forms.

When to Disable Auto-Save

While auto-save is helpful in most cases, you might want to turn it off for:

  • Time-sensitive forms (like timed quizzes or assessments)
  • Single-session submissions
  • Anonymous forms where no session data should be retained

How to Disable Auto-Save

If auto-save doesn’t fit your use case, here’s how to turn it off:

  1. Go to [OpnForm.com](), log in, and open your form (or create a new one).
  2. In the form editor, click Settings in the top-left corner of the page.
  3. Select the Submission Settings tab.
  4. Toggle Auto-save off.
  5. Click Save to apply your changes.
