How do I use my own domain?

| Custom domains are only available to Pro users. You can have one per workspace.

To use your domain, you need to accomplish three things.

Step 1: configure your CNAME in your domain settings.

Using your own domain with OpnForm is easy, but you do need to know about DNS to set it up. Here is what to do:

Create a  CNAME DNS record pointing from  your.domain.com to  domains.opnform.com.
Replace  your.domain.com with the domain or subdomain of your choice.

The CNAME target  domains.opnform.com however, will never change, regardless of the custom domain you're using.

Step 2: In your Opnform account, update your **workspace settings*

Once you have created the CNAME record, log into OpnForm and open your Custom Domains Settings.

How do I add custom code to my form?

Add custom code to your form

Inject your own HTML/JavaScript into your form. Code is injected into the page’s head and runs on the public form page.

Requirements

Pro plan
Your form needs to be using a Custom domain

Where your code runs

Code executes on the public form page only.
It won’t run in the editor; open the public form URL to preview.

Add Custom Code

Open your form. Click edit to open the Form editor.
Go to Settings → Custom Code.
Paste your HTML/JS (use full tags like <script>, <link>, <meta>) and Save.
Visit your public form page to see the changes.

Notes

Use async/defer on external <script> tags to avoid blocking render.
Only add trusted scripts (analytics, chat, etc.).
For styling, prefer Custom CSS instead of <style> tags here.

Code blocks (in-form HTML/JS)

You can also insert a Code block in your form content to render custom HTML/JS in the page body.
On Cloud, Code blocks also require a custom domain and Pro.

Can I trigger another service whenever my form receives a submission - WebHooks?

Accepted Answer

You can setup web-hooks for your forms. If enabled, on every successful submission, OpnForm will post the data of the submission to the specified endpoint.

We recommend the website webhook.site to debug your webhooks.

Here's a step-by-step guide to help you get started:

Log in to your account.
Go to the "Forms" section.
Select the specific form where you want to add the integration.
Click on "Integrations" and choose "Webhook Notification".

Toggle to enable, add the WebHook URL then click 'Save.

Security & Headers

For enhanced security, you can optionally configure:

Webhook Secret: Generate a signing secret to secure your webhook requests. OpnForm will sign each webhook with an HMAC-SHA256 signature that you can validate on your receiving endpoint to ensure authenticity.
Custom Headers: Add custom HTTP headers (such as API keys or authorization tokens) to be sent with each webhook request.

OpnForm allows you to send email notifications to your form users after they send a new submission. Here's how.

| IMPORTANT: Your form must include a email field. Confirmation will be sent to the email in the "email" field.

Access your account by logging in.
Locate and click on the "Forms" section.
Identify the specific form where you would like to incorporate the integration.
Within the form settings, navigate to the "Integrations" tab and choose "Email Notification."

You can use @mentions by clicking the @ sign to fill in the email address entered in the form. You can also add your own email to receive emails.

You can decide if the email will include the submission data or not by checking this option.

If desired, specify a condition for when the system should send email confirmation messages.

Here's a step-by-step guide on setting up a CNAME DNS record from your domain to domains.opnform.com.

Log in to your domain registrar or DNS management provider's website. This is where you manage your domain's DNS settings.
Locate the DNS management section or a similar option. Look for a tab or menu item that allows you to edit DNS records for your domain.
Find the option to add a new DNS record. It might be labeled as "Add Record," "New Record," or something similar.
Choose CNAME as the type of record you want to create. If there's a dropdown menu, select CNAME from the options.
